A precision inspection and cleaning helps your HVAC run more efficiently and use less energy…saving you money. It’s the best thing you can do to guarantee a cool, worry-free, energy-efficient home through the last few weeks of spring and into the summer season!

Here’s what will happen:

Your Kellam service technician will perform a complete 18-step home comfort inspection of your home cooling system that will take about one half hour to one hour to complete. Your A/C & Heating Tune Up & Inspection Includes:

  1. Inspect air filtration system
  2. Run test to verify proper sequence of operation
  3. Check refrigeration system performance, including:
    1. Refrigerant level
    2. Temperatures / pressures & other associated refrigeration parameters
    3. Investigate any improper restrictions, or low refrigerant levels if/when found
  4. Flush drain
  5. Inspect electrical connections, wiring harness & disconnect (as applicable)
  6. Inspect the contactor for integrity, improper resistance, pitting or burning.
  7. Measure and document electrical parameters, such as
    1. Incoming voltage
    2. Amp draw of blower motor
    3. Amp draw of compressor
    4. Amp draw of the outdoor fan motor
    5. Investigate any improper resistance that may be found in the electrical circuit.
  8. Inspect capacitor(s) for integrity, corrosion and capacitance
  9. Inspect readily accessible ducts for integrity, cleanliness, and/or obvious air leaks
  10. Inspect blower for proper / adequate air flow.
    1. Includes Inspection of wheel, motor (& lubricate as needed)
  11. Vacuum loose debris from the blower cabinet
  12. Wipe clean the reachable areas of the unit cabinet
  13. Inspect indoor coils for obstructions and/or cleanliness
  14. Inspect outdoor coils for obstructions leaks and/or cleanliness.
  15. Replace filter if/when provided by the customer while on-site at the time of inspection
  16. Check and calibrate thermostat as required
  17. Inspect both the indoor and outdoor units for loose or worn parts and abnormal vibrations
  18. Test and adjust the unit for peak operating efficiency
